Gadget failures
In the space of two weeks, the phone, the shredder, the kettle and the laptop, all needed replacing, whilst the iPad got a welcome speed-up.

Lady Bird
At my age I probably shouldn’t be going to see a coming-of-age comedy-drama at the cinema – I just didn’t get the 5-star rating. However, the Curzon cinema in Soho has a very nice auditorium though I’m still struggling to understand why cinema adverts and trailers need to be unbearably loud. -
A visit to Tate Modern, but not for the art
We didn’t visit Tate Modern to see the art but to enjoy the sights from the viewing gallery at the top.
Then on for a very noisy bite to eat at the Festival Hall where every 4-year-old Londoner was congregated for a half-term event.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
I wanted to see this film after watching a trailer at my previous cinema visit. It has also received 5-star recommendations from just about everyone.It’s quirky, and generally I like quirky. For me, it was OK.
I thought it was too long for a quirky film.
