1st LEG – (SATURDAY ONLY TO PICK UP THE LATE BUS!)

Salisbury to Houghton (14 miles) have to arrive by 4pm for the only bus to Winchester!

I’ll need to allow at LEAST 5 hours to walk 14 miles, so need to start walking from Salisbury by 10:30 at latest.

TRAIN FROM HOME TO SALISBURY 8:12 arrive 10:20 or 8:42 arrive 10:42 (£34.25 return)

If I’m behind schedule I could pick up the bus at 4:10 from Broughton which is at 11 miles.

Houghton (14 miles) 4pm (first it goes west!) [13 miles from Winchester]
King’s Somborne (16 miles) 4:26pm (before going east to Winchester!) [11 miles from Winchester]

SECOND LEG (MONDAY – SATURDAY)

TRAIN FROM HOME TO WINCHESTER 9:21 arrive 11:04 or 9:42 arrive 11:26 (£25.40 return)

Catch bus 16 at 12:10 (Saturday) or 12:15 (Mon-Fri) bus from Winchester bus station to Houghton (arrive 1pm).

Walk from Houghton (1pm) to Winchester (13miles)

Broughton (16 miles to Winchester) 1:10pm
