things change

I can highly recommend “The Good Doctor by Damon Galgut”, a very fine novel set in rural South Africa.
AND I have just read a fabulously funny short story “A Convalescent Ego by Richard Yates” in which the couple are called Jean and Bill and the son is called Mike!
