The film Hollywoodgate is a documentary that follows a group of Afghan Taliban fighters. Set mainly in an abandoned American base, it’s a fascinating film. Filmed with the permission of the Taliban there’s an element of propaganda in what they permit to be shown, but that doesn’t detract from the insight one gets into their lives as well as to what was abandoned by the Americans.
We liked it a lot.
This 11am showing at the Wimbledon Curzon included a complimentary drink and cake. Nice.
