For the first half Gateshead played possession football and probably had more than 80% of the ball – it made for a dull half. A penalty goal early in the second half probably destined the game to be another loss to Sutton, though the home team put up a bit of a fight in the last 20 minutes. Overall Sutton had more of the chances but were unable to get a reward. Another loss is hard to take.
